Uncommon edition (orig.: 1694) of this loose collection of anecdotes about the French court from Pharamond to Louis XIV, illustrated with 9 unsigned copper engravings: 1 allegorical frontispiece ("La France soumise au pouvoir de l'amour"), 3 titles and 5 plates (2 placed in front. in t. II and III). The text of t. I and II is attributed to C. Vanel, historiographer and magistrate in Montpellier; t.
