Gold medal awarded to the Olympic champions in Paris in 1924, designed by André Rivaud. Obverse: inscription "VIIIeme Olympiade Paris 1924" and allegory of the Olympic Games. Reverse: effigies of naked Olympic champion helping his opponent to get up from the ground, on five Olympic rings. To the left signature of the artist. Song marked "2ARGENT". During the 1924 Olympic Games 304 gold, 304 silver and 306 bronze medals were created. This Olympic gold medal was originally made of gold plated silver. Measures: diameter 55 mm - height 5 mm. Weight 80 gr. Awarded to Domingo Etchegoyhen player of the Uruguayan national soccer team that belonged to the Liverpool club of Montevideo at that time.
