First volume published in Lyon, à la Salamandre by Claude Sebbeton 1566 and Second volume published in Lyon by Antoine Tardif 1583. 3 woodcut printer's marks on Volume I and 2 on Volume II. Bands and historiated initials. In Volume I, bottom corner of last 12 leaves trimmed, not serious. "Table des noms et matière..." at the end of each volume and "Table du Traité des poids et mesures des Anciens" at the end of volume I. Slight traces of dampness on some pages. Contemporary full calf. Boards decorated with a central motif in gilt (the first boards are detached, as is the title page of volume I). The spine is missing from the first volume and part of the second. Satisfactory condition inside. RARE 16th-century WORKS.
