A late Victorian tortoiseshell piqué brooch and pendant earring suite; the circular brooch of pointed parasol form, intricately inlaid with silver and gold toned floral motifs, base metal brooch fittings at the back, 4.0 cm wide; together with a matching pair of earrings, of elongated pear shape, decorated with floral patterns, fitted with base metal shepherd's crooks, 6.5 cm long; 19.6 grams. A Victorian ruby and enamel flower brooch, naturalistically designed as a spray of forget-me-nots, each flower in blue enamel with a ruby set to the centre, the brooch measuring 41 x 29mm, the reverse marked '750', with brooch pin fitting, total weight 6.8 grams Provenance: from the family of Harvey Firestone, founder of the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, one of the first global makers of automobile tyres; and thence by descent.
