Persian Tabriz hand-knotted rug with red field decorated with floral patterns evenly distributed over the entire surface. and a border distributed in five bands, the central wider with garlands arranged in foliate fretwork. Red, ochre, brown, beige and blue tones dominate. Tabriz is one of the oldest centers of carpet weaving and has a great diversity of carpet types. The rope materials are generally made of cotton or silk which is used for very fine carpets) Tabriz has one of the most diverse displays of designs, from medallions, to figural carpets, etc. Tabriz has been a large and world famous carpet manufacturing center in Iran and the world. Persian hand-knotted rug, with a design of floral ornaments that sprout from a vase placed in the compositional center, on a navy blue field. Red, ochre, beige, blue and white tones predominate. These carpets are knotted in the sacred city of Ghom, in central Persia. The material used to make them is silk, which makes them thin and compact. These carpets are very well elaborated and, in some cases, are decorated in great detail.
