Probably Turkish rug (cotton warp and weft and wool velvet with silk flowers), circa 1960-1980 194.5 x 150 cm The rug is based on a Tebriz design. It features a large central polychrome double medallion, extended by two pendants on an ivory background and a tobacco background decorated with a semiset of stylized rosettes. The entire composition is embellished with four spandrels. A red border with a garland of stylized flowers is framed by numerous counter-borders.
