CHINA, CANTON, late 19th century Set of two polychrome porcelain vases of baluster form decorated with famille rose enamels of cartouches depicting scenes of dignitaries in the garden against a background of flowers and birds. Stylized frieze on the low rim, facing dragons forming small handles, salamanders in relief on the shoulder. Very similar decoration on the two vases.
