Skating Rink game (Paris. circa 1880) Skating Rink game (Paris. circa 1880). Cardboard board, foldable in two, unfolded dimensions: 40 x 55.5 cm. Chromolithographed oval course, consisting of two concentric numbered strips delimiting two illustrated spaces: in the central part, two children skating (roller skates) in winter; between the two strips: skaters (roller skates) on a large, luxurious track (men and women in city costumes, children); a bar and orchestra can be seen on a stage. A chase game with two tracks, each with 52 squares. The rule is adapted from that of the game of the goose, with beneficial squares and less favorable ones. Beautiful roller-skating imagery; the track in the crown is that of the Champs Elysées circus, which was open from 1876 to 1880. The rules are printed in each corner, in four different languages: French, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian.
