FIVE MOROCCAN POTTERY INKWELLS Morocco, North Africa, ca. 1900s Comprising a monochrome cobalt blue-glazed inkwell, of rectangular shape with the shortest sides rounded, resting on a plain flat base, the interior carved with ten circular cavities possibly once filled with inks of different colours, the side panels decorated with a wider band featuring repeating eight-pointed star medallions and a narrower band at the top with strapwork, the rim crenelated, 6.5cm x 12.4xm x 8cm; and two pairs of polychrome-painted inkwells, designed in the shape of domed mosques and local architecture, the square mosque-like pair 9.8cm x 7.3cm, and the latter 7.2cm x 10cm.
