A LARGE BOLD NASTA'LIQ CALLIGRAPHIC PANEL Qajar Iran, late 19th century Persian manuscript, opaque pigments, white wash, ink, and gold on paper, the large horizontal-format calligraphic composition presenting two overlapping lines of white bold nasta'liq script, with full diacritics and markers, set against a solid golden ground painted with flowers in polychromes, encased within concentric decorative borders, and rules in yellow, red and white, mounted, glazed and framed, the outer border of the frame painted with a golden vine trellis on green ground, 55.5cm x 79cm including the frame.
