THREE ENGRAVED INDIAN BRASS SEALS FOR MUSLIM JUDGES (QADI / QAZI) Mughal Northern India and Deccan, Central India, respectively dated 1153 AH (1740 AD), 1202 AH (1878 AD), and 1234 AH (1818 - 19 AD) Each of typical circular shape, the smallest and thinnest seal engraved with three lines of free-flowing nasta'liq script and the date 1153 AH at the top, 5cm diam.; another similar, much more elaborate in design, cast with a central roundel in-filled with five overlapping lines of nasta'liq script against a scrolling floral ground, surrounded by another continuous epigraphic band on the outer edge and the date 1202 AH, 5cm diam; and another larger in size, with six lines of script and the date 1234 AH, 7cm diam.
