A KASHMIRI CARVED HARDWOOD ROUND TABLE WITH FLORAL MOTIFS Kashmir, Northern India, ca. 1900 - 1920 The hardwood table resting on three sinuous, sloping legs with clawed bird feet clenching a ball, rising to a round table top, deeply carved and incised with stylised lotus flower scrolls, floral bouquets, vegetal meanderings, and around the centre a large lobed floral medallion in-filled around the edges with clusters of three flower heads typical of the Indian Subcontinent including rosettes, marigolds and daisies, further floral patterns on the legs, and incised fretwork bands around the outer edges, 60cm diam. and 56cm high.
