THREE LARGE LADLES AND A MEASURING SPOON AN EYE FOR DETAIL: PROPERTY FROM A PRIVATE ESTATE IN NORTHERN LONDON Kashmir or Northern India, 18th century and later Comprising two tinned copper ladles with concave, drop-shaped heads, long and tapering handles, terminating in a wider, flattened band engraved with epigraphic inscriptions or stylised vegetal scrollwork, the longest 53cm; and two further steel functional vessels, another ladle with pronounced drop-shaped head and engraved tapering handle with chevron and diamond-shaped fretwork patterns, 43cm long, and a measuring spoon, with a short and narrow handle, on the tail a scalloped wheel cutter, 23cm long.
