Urn vase, China, T'ang dynasty (618-906). So called. Yüeh type. Stoneware, red-brown body, ovoid body with two small molded loop handles at the base of the neck. Two plastically applied wavy bands on the wall. No lid. Very good condition. H. 26.5 cm. Vessels of this type were used as grave goods, possibly also as urns.
