Description
Rare lidded vase with two putti, Fürstenberg, c. 1787, white porcelain. Ovoid vase body with sculpted laurel trim, two bow handles with volute-shaped base, lid with knob finial. On an octagonal base plate. Two standing putti on either side of the vase, presumably with bouquets, the flowers chipped; the rim of the lid chipped on the underside, the handles slightly abraded (manufacturing error?), the base slightly edgeworn; underglaze blue mark on the base, blindstamped base mark ''KK/J''; h. 26 cm.
