USA, 2nd GM. SPRINGFIELD ARMORY Model 1903 Mark 1 manual repeating rifle. Cal. 30-06 CC. Serial no. 1179678. Manufacturer's markings "U.S. SPRINGFIELD ARMORY MODEL 1903 MARK I.". All parts to same no. All metal parts in original phosphate finish. The barrel is stamped with the Springfield Armory initials "SA" "flaming grenade" and "3-20", corresponding to a March 1920 manufacture. Rear sight with rear sight guard. Transformed walnut stock, the barrel and handguard shortened and the stock thinned. It comes with a khaki web English rifle sling. (Breech not functional. Good condition).
