France, Third Republic (1870-1940). Revolver model 1873 by Manufacture d'Armes de St Étienne, 1878. Cal. 11 mm. 6 shots. Serial no. "G 86876". All metal parts in white polished finish. All parts with the same N°. Markings on barrel "Mle 1873" and on frame "Mre d'Armes de St Étienne". The barrel is dated "S. 1878" and bears the control marks "M" in a circle for the MAS director (General Maignien 1873 to 1882) and "J" in a circle for the principal controller. Cylinder with crowned "E" proof mark. Trigger and hammer with traces of original yellowed finish. Checkered walnut stock plates. Very good functional mechanism in single and double action with two clear, play-free cocking notches. Interior of the mirrored barrel with good scratches. Complete. 24 cm (barrel 11.4 cm). (Good condition). Weapon classified in category "D" of decree no. 2023-557 of July 3, 2023, free to acquire and hold.
