United States, American Civil War (1861-1865). Harper Ferrys" Model 1855 regulation percussion rifle with primer dispenser. Cal 58. No serial number. All metal parts stained gray with traces of oxidation. Percussion lock, with primer dispenser, marked "US HARPER'S FERRY" and dated "1857". The cap of the primer dispenser is embossed with the American eagle. US red walnut long-barrel stock, buttplate marked "US" (partially legible). Missing ramrod. Functional mechanism with two clear, play-free cocking notches. Inside of barrel dirty and superficially oxidized with shallow scratches. 141.5 cm (barrel 101.5 cm). (Wear and tear, sight missing, barrel stick damaged. As is).
