Description
Spain, early 19th century. Small flintlock rifle, Miquelet lock. Cal. 16 mm approx. All metal parts with tobacco-colored patina and slight rust-blossom oxidation. Smooth damascus barrel, with brass rear sight and large two-hole sight. Miquelet-style flintlock lock. Cut steel fittings. Long-barreled walnut stock with fine checkering. Ball trigger. Steel nailhead ramrod. Mechanism partly functional, with two cocking notches, to be revised (the hammer does not hold the second cocking notch all the time). Inside of barrel dusty with minor surface oxidation. 84 cm (barrel 44 cm). (Needs cleaning. Fairly good condition).
