Description

France, First Empire (1804-1814). Cavalry model An XIII flintlock pistol from the Manufacture Impériale de Saint-Étienne. Cal. 17.6 mm. All metal parts polished white with light spots in places. Round barrel with sight and rear sight, with thunder flats, dated "B 1813" and stamped "P" in cursive under the star. The breech tail is marked "M. AN13" in small size. Lock marked "Manufacture Impériale de St Étienne" and controller's hallmark "S" in a rhombus (STELEN 1811-1822). The brass fittings are well stamped with "D" under star, crowned "R" and crowned "G". Short-barreled walnut stock, stamped "DEVUN" and hallmarked "27". Original nailhead steel ramrod. Functional mechanism with two clear, play-free cocking notches. Inside of barrel with slight surface oxidation. Complete. 35 cm (barrel 20 cm). (Beautiful pistol in its original condition).
