France, early 19th century. Gendarmerie model 1770 converted flintlock percussion pistol from the Charleville factory. Cal. 15.2 mm. All metal parts stained gray. Smooth round barrel with thunderbolt side panels, unmarked and unstamped. Breechblock unmarked. Transformed percussion lock marked "Manufacture de Charleville". Walnut stock. Steel ramrod present, not to model. Functional two-notch cocking mechanism. Inside of barrel oxidized. 26 cm (barrel 14 cm). (Barrel lengthened by approx. 10 mm, in thunder, when converted to percussion, stock with old restorations, notably in front of the lock plate, the thread of the trigger guard and cap fixing screw is "out of order".
