France, Revolution (1789-1795). Set of five National Guard infantry or cavalry uniform buttons, circa 1792. Brass, stamped with the lictor beam surmounted by the Phrygian cap between oak branches and the words "REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE". (Wear and age patina, one button slightly deformed. Fairly good condition.) Diameter approx. 2.4 cm.
