France, Centenary of the Revolution (1889). Suite of six buttons for a man's jacket suit. Copper mounts, originally silver-plated (remains) and under glass, decorated with polychrome revolutionary motifs painted and captioned on cardboard, including: - The Bastille with the words "vivre libre ou mourir" ("live free or die"). - The Liberty Tree with the words "Liberty or death". - A ça ira" revolutionary trophy. - The three-order putti with the words "W la nation". - Revolutionary emblem with the words "W la République française 1793". - Gunner and his cannon with the words "Je garde la Nation". (Wear and patina of time, the glass of the button with the Bastille motif is damaged. Good condition). Diameter: 36 mm.
