Full black morocco, with a cold decoration representing a prison window on each cover, 5 ribbed spine, large inner frame with two cold fillets, illustrated covers and spine preserved, gilt head, lined and edged slipcase. Binding signed René KIEFFER. Perfect condition (an unfortunate label on the spine of the slipcase). 15 compositions by Cornelius engraved on copper in colors by Thévenin, including 9 hors texte. Limited edition of 225 copies, all identical on Japanese imperial paper (175). A symbolic and mystical illustration of this poignant text.
