A Japanese shin gunto, Showa period Traditionally made blade shinogi tsukuri with light torii zori, notarial hamon with togari (stained in places), brass habaki. Nakago with a mekugi ana, signed. Typical shin gunto koshirae with sakura mountings, same-covered tsuka with brown grip wrapping, metal saya with an obitori and also leather-covered. Length K/M 68 cm, total length 97 cm. Condition: II - III

A Japanese shin gunto, Showa period Blade shinogi tsukuri, maru gitae, light torii zori, kissaki damaged. Brass habaki. Rough shin gunto mount, smooth brass fuchi, kashira rubbed, tsuka with leather cover over wood. Wooden saya with an obitori and leather cover, signs of age and use. Length K/M 67 cm, total length 96 cm. Simple, late war manufacture. Condition: III -
