Journal ACCORDS littéraires et artistiques. N°1, February 15, 1946. 35 by 51 cm. 12 pages. Top corner a little torn, some foxing. Very rare publication, created by Jean-Simon PREVOST (who later became an actor), entirely illustrated by Jacques-Henri MAUPLOT. The 1st page includes a text by Jean COCTEAU, le Roi est mort, vive le roi, criticizing SARTRE's position on the writer's commitment. In the issue, we find another critique of SARTRE by Michel LOMBARD, memories of SARTRE and NIZAN in their high school days (and mention of a play they wrote together, Vaticiner sans pouvoir), and two texts by Blaise CENDRARS (le Soiffard, and La femme et le soldat), which appear here as a pre-original. La femme et le soldat was to be the first part of the autobiographical text intended to follow La Main coupée, published in 1946. Accords also includes an account of the filming of COCTEAU's La Belle et la Bête... A rarity.
