A carbine K 98k Mauser, code "byf / 42" Cal. 8x57JS, SN. 3999y, matching numbers, five-shot. Very rough barrel. Manufactured 1942 by Mauser Oberndorf. Rusty original finish. Acceptance stamp preserved. Laminated stock with high butt cap and cleaning rod. Can be improved by careful cleaning.
