Our drawing is based on a medieval world map of Belgium, on which 4 male figures in costumes are placed in the center. On the left and upper edges of the depiction, our drawing still has the character of a sketch; the coloring was not executed here. This must have been done later in the 20th century, especially in the case of the 4 figures, as this is the only way to explain the extreme brilliance and luminosity of the colors of the costumes.
