Springfield Mod. 1873 "Trapdoor rifle" Cal. .45-70Gov, SN. 255563, round, almost bright barrel with frame sights, scaled from 6 -12, loading gate marked "U.S. Model 1873", lock plate with "U.S. Springfield" under eagle. Dark walnut stock, iron furniture and cleaning rod. Iron butt cap marked "U.S.". Three sling swivels. Weapon reblued in earlier times and stock slightly worn. Length 132 cm.
