First edition of this uncommon work in which the author proposes numerous urban and architectural embellishment projects for the city of Paris. Of particular note are his thoughts on the expansion of Les Halles, the completion of the Louvre and Tuileries, the transfer of the Hôtel de Ville to the Louvre, and the construction of a new auditorium to house the Comédie Française, on the site of the Odéon. Dussausoy's work also took an urban planning approach, when he proposed the location of future fire pumps in the city or the elimination of the Hôtel-Dieu, in favor of nursing homes.
