The atlas comes from the second edition, a reimposition of the original. The book alternates between analyses and references to ancient Greek and Roman theaters, and Parisian achievements. Alongside the Odéon and the Salle Favart, we discover the Mont-Parnasse, the Diorama and the Panorama, as well as the Salle du Marché Saint Germain. The map of Paris, with the former division into 12 arrondissements, each with 4 districts, gives, in addition to the usual monuments, the location of each of the theaters, a rare and reliable source.
