CHAPPEY Architecture Internationale 2 Paris, Fréal, s.d. (1930). In-4°, 3 ffnch and 88 plates. Bound in red cloth (stamped by an American library). A very fine album published a year after the first opus, and much less frequently than the latter. Chappey, a brilliant young architect who also won the competition to build the Palais de l'acier in 1935, offers in this work a compilation of all the works then considered part of the international movement. The plates feature perspective photos and plans of works by the leading European and American architects of the time, including Le Corbusier, Roux Spitz, Sauvage and Lurçat, as well as Gropius, Taut, Cermak and Margold. From the Suez Canal monument to the Chrysler building and a café in Brno. Timeless architecture.
