Circa 1922. oil on canvas, verso mounted on hardboard with tacks, there inscribed Portrait Walther von Hollander. and signed, 50 x 40.5 cm, framed 55.5 x 45.5 cm - Hollander, expelled from Bavaria in 1920, found refuge at Vogeler's Barkenhoff. He had brought a printing press with him, which was henceforth called the Hollander press and was used for text and hand prints. Hollander left Worpswede in 1923 - From the artist's estate.

Designed by Paul Walther, around 1918, marked "PW" with date "1918". Model no. F 279. stress cracks due to production. Sword mark. H. 37.5 cm. Paul Walther is considered one of the most productive animal sculptors at the beginning of the 20th century; his oeuvre includes various models of exotic and domestic animal species, including numerous bird species.
