Description

An Austrian powder flask from the reign of Emperor Franz I (1806 - 1835) Octagonal body of pressed brown horn with fire-gilt brass fittings, the front with a trophy bundle of cannons, halberds, hunting horn and tall hunter's hat, in the center a cross with the cipher "FI". Fire-gilt bowl with eagle-shaped stopper. Four side rings (partially deformed). Some fastening pins of the fittings missing, signs of use and age. Length 19 cm. Representative and rare. Condition: II
