A heavy US percussion target rifle by John Wurfflein in Philadelphia, ca. 1850 Rifled and rifled octagonal barrel in 10.5 mm caliber, somewhat dull bore, modern tunnel front sight on top, rear sight removed, modern Redfield sight on tang. Percussion lock on the back, signed on the lock plate, German set trigger. Half stock with nickel-silver furniture. Wooden ramrod with brass tip. Signs of age and use. Length 142 cm. Condition: II -
