A musket modified for civilian use, probably French, late 18th century Smooth bore barrel in 18 mm caliber, surface cleaned and pitted in places, especially in the pistol area. Converted percussion lock with traces of corrosion (defective). Shortened and modified half stock, stamped "1TV" on right side of butt stock. Butt nose and ramrod socket with cracks, butt with wormholes. Iron furniture, cleaning rod not included. All parts with heavy signs of age and use. Length 147 cm. Condition: IV

The anonymous author made use of the stylistic vocabulary of Art Nouveau with its elegant curves, long sweeping lines and vegetal elements as well as strict geometric forms as found in the emerging Art Deco style. Each album page contains between four and seven different designs in various sizes, each with a handwritten inventory number. - A few designs with minimal studio marks and rubbing.
