Description

A German percussion rifle by Joseph Hauer in Bamberg, ca. 1750 Rifled octagonal barrel in 16 mm caliber, dovetailed front sight and rear sight as well as signature on top. Converted percussion lock with German set trigger. Beautifully carved full stock with horn nose cap, patchbox and smooth brass furniture. Wooden ramrod with horn tip. Metal parts spotted in places, forearm attached. With modern shoulder strap. Length 92 cm. Condition: II -
