Greyed-out cover, brown ink (or watercolor) stain on back cover, soiled slipcase and worn spine. 9 full-page color illustrations and numerous small colored culs-de-lampe by FOUJITA. Edition at 296 copies; n°I of 20 hors commerce on Japon impérial, with a suite of 8 color hors-texte, a very fine ORIGINAL AQUARELLE signed by Foujita depicting a cat's head at the head of the book, two trial prints of vignettes with original color test serpente laminated at one point above each. The watercolor will be listed in the next volume of the catalog raisonné of Foujita's work, compiled by Mme Sylvie Buisson. A certificate of authenticity from Mme Buisson will be given to the buyer.
