A small-sword for Imperial officials and diplomats, circa 1900 Straight, strong single-edged blade, the stamped Wolfsangel mark (Solingen) on the obverse side, the etched supplier's signature "G. Laute Berlin" on the back, rich decorative etching with tendrils and trophies on both sides. Heavy, multi-piece hilt of non-ferrous metal in rich relief (grip and guard plate loose) with eagle's head pommel, imperial eagle with imperial crown on the guard plate and beautiful mother-of-pearl grip scales. Signs of use and age. Length 96.5 cm. Very representative. Condition: II

Dabei auch Briefe von einer Reise nach Indochina Kambodscha. - Einmalige Korrespondenz des Diplomatenehepaares mit vielen Hintergrundinformationen über das Leben als Diplomat in Asien. - Im Anschluss war Adolf von Windecker als Vertreter für das Auswärtige Amt tätig, u.a. 1941 beim Reichskommissar in Riga, 1944 organisierte er in Konstanz den Austausch von Kriegsgefangenen. - Dabei: 12 kl. Dwight D. Eisenhower Signed Photograph Vintage matte-finish 11 x 14 photo of President Eisenhower at his desk, signed and inscribed in the lower border in fountain pen to a diplomat, "For the Honorable Edward B. Lawson, with best wishes to a distinguished American, Dwight D. Eisenhower.” In very good to fine condition, with scattered stains in the bottom border. A career diplomat, Edward B. Lawson served as ambassador to Iceland (1949-54) and Israel (1954-59), in addition to various trade and economic posts that brought him to Turkey, Nicaragua, Czechoslovakia, and South Africa.
