Description

A cuirassier sword M 1742 for troopers Good copy. Double-edged blade of biconvex cross-section (stained) without marks. Heavy non-ferrous metal hilt (traces of gilding), the crowned eagle "FWR" in relief on the knuckle-guard, a thumb ring on the obverse side. Brown leather-covered grip with brass wire winding, the pommel somewhat bent at the base. In an unassociated iron scabbard with two movable suspension rings. Iron parts rusty, non-ferrous metal darkened, signs of use. As found condition. Length of the sword 99 cm, with scabbard 120 cm. Condition: III
