A lion's head sabre, Max Joseph period (1806 - 1825) Heavy, curved single-edged blade (somewhat pitted) with a double-edged central point, the ruler's cipher "MJK" etched on both sides under a crown for Max I Joseph, King of Bavaria. Brass knuckle-bow hilt with lion's head grip cap, black leather-covered grip (heavily worn in places). Slightly damaged, signs of age. Length 86 cm. For officers or non-commissioned officers of the K.B. Army. Condition: II -
