Description

A helmet M 1896 for enlisted men/NCOs of the Pioneers Black lacquered leather skull (crackled front peak, front peak seam open) with nickel silver fittings. Screwed emblem on the front (originally wedged, one threaded bolt detached), neck strap with ventilation slider, rotating smooth point on plate with four round-headed pins. Leather chinscales on button 91, imperial and national cockade of lacquered sheet metal. Good brown leather flap lining. Reworked, straps and cockades replaced. Partially slightly damaged, signs of age. Condition: II - III
