District Administrator Dr. Georg von Borries - a magnificent photo album for his farewell, Herford, 1902 Large dark brown leather binding with silver-plated mountings. Central dedication plaque in rich relief with coat of arms and banderole "To your outgoing district administrator, the representatives and officials of the district of Herford". With 54 inserted CdV portrait photos on thick gold-edged pages, some inscribed. Intact clasp. Signs of use and age. Dimensions approx. 33 x 27 x 8 cm. Extremely representative and beautifully preserved. Enclosed a detailed three-page biographical printout. Dr. Georg von Borries (1857 - 1922) was district administrator of the district of Herford from 1891 - 1902 and government president of the administrative district of Minden from 1909 - 1917.
