Description

A pallash for cuirassier troopers, dated 1839 (copy) Collector's item. Sturdy single-edged blade with double fullers on both sides and Cyrillic stamps, the maker's signature of the Slatoust manufactory etched on the back, February 1839. Massive brass knuckle-bow hilt with three one-third point bars ("cat's paws"), black leather-covered grip with brass wire winding. Heavy iron scabbard with two movable suspension rings. Slightly damaged, signs of age. Length 116 cm. Made according to the French pattern. Condition: II
