A Scottish broadsword with "VR" signature, circa 1900 Double-edged blade with double fullers on both sides, richly etched with the crowned cipher "VR" (Queen Victoria) and the brass-filled proof mark "Proved T" at the base. Typical openwork basket hilt of nickel material and velvety red cloth. Leather-covered grip with triple wire winding, fluted mushroom-shaped pommel. Nickel-plated steel scabbard with two movable suspension rings. Signs of use and age. Length 102 cm. Condition: II
