A sabre M 1822 for light cavalry troopers Sturdy, slightly curved blade à la Montmorency (stained), on the back the etched maker's inscription of the Königliche Manufaktur Klingenthal 1823 and oval acceptance marks. Smooth brass knuckle-bow hilt (darkened, newly riveted) with two fullers, the knuckle-bow stamped, black leather-covered grip with brass wire winding. Iron scabbard (neatly re-blackened) with two movable suspension rings. Signs of use and age. Length 110 cm. Rare early example. Condition: II
