A collection of awards and insignias, mostly German, 20th century Two EK 2 (1914), one on ribbon, ribbon buckle, silver-plated brooch with EK in oak wreath, Frontkämpfer-Ehrenkreuz (iron), badge "Bayerischer Kriegerbund" (blue enameled, rs. "Deschler & Sohn, München"), brass badge "Bayerischer Marinetag 1926", iron badge "Reichsparteitag 1934" (rs. "Balmberger Nürnberg"), black wounded badge, parachutist badge from France (non-ferrous metal, silver-plated), an NVA medal, a Czech medal, a Weimar belt buckle (nickel silver) etc. Partially slightly damaged, signs of age and use. Sheet dimensions approx. 15 x 19 cm each. Mostly with captions in English and Latin. - The sheets appear to come from a professional ornithological drawing album. They contain both European and non-European species, with a predominance of ducks and chickens. Among others, a hawfinch, a collared francolin, spoonbills, Persian sandgrouse and tufted ducks are depicted. The birds are mostly shown in their natural environment, with some sheets also depicting the clutch of eggs. Some of the drawings appear to have been inspired by the work "A History of British Birds" by Rev. F.O. Morris, first published between 1851-1857. Morris. - With traces of earlier mounting on verso. Some mounted on backing paper. Some inconspicuous browning in margins and occasional minor brownstaining. Overall a very well-preserved and varied collection.
