Insgesamt gut. - Romantische Ansicht des Gardasees mit den einbettenden Bergen der südlichen Alpenausläufer, die Farben kraftvoll. Stilistisch den Deutschrömern zuzuordnen, zeigt sich die Landschaft in ein sehr warmes, nahezu rosafarbenes Licht getaucht und in einer sehr romantischen, sehnsuchtsvollen Stimmung. Oil on canvas. Framed in a golden frame with floral relief decoration. - Isolated losses of colour along the edges as traces of framing. Occasional slight craquelure and small losses of colour. Bit yellowed due to age. Good overall. - Romantic view of Lake Garda with the surrounding mountains of the southern foothills of the Alps, the colours vibrant. Stylistically attributable to the German Romans, the landscape is bathed in a very warm, almost pink-coloured light and in a very romantic, wistful mood.

Very rare suite of plates of Peruvian costumes, reprinted from Joseph Skinner's "The present state of Peru...", London, Richard Philipps, 1805.
