A hunting hanger by Eickhorn, Solingen, circa 1900 Wedge blade, stamped Eickhorn mark at the base (two squirrels back to back), decorative hunting etchings on both sides with red deer hunting, wild duck and capercaillie, the back etched with laurel tendrils. Brass hilt, shell-guard, the quillons ending in hooves, stag horn grip with three applied brass acorns. Black lacquered leather scabbard with brass mountings (small dents), the carrying knob in the shape of an acorn. Blade slightly stained, signs of use and age. Length 56.5 cm. Condition: II
