A German hunting sabre, 2nd half of the 18th century Slightly curved single-edged blade (rusty) with double-edged point, fullered on both sides and decorated with hunting motifs. Decorated brass hilt (obverse guard plate missing), spirally grooved, green stag horn grip (cracks, small defect), engraved brass cap on the pommel. In a later brass-studded leather scabbard with carrying knob and integrated chape. Partially damaged, signs of age. Length 72.5 cm. Condition: III

Diese Übersetzung ist Franz Adam Vogel zu verdanken, einem Bürger der Stadt Colmar, der Großrichter der königlichen Schweizergarde war. Dieses gesetzgeberische Denkmal, das das allgemeine Strafrecht, das besondere Strafrecht und vor allem das Strafprozessrecht berührte, war seiner Zeit weit voraus, zumindest in Europa. Bagamoyo war die erste Hauptstadt des kolonialen Tansania und diente gleichzeitig als deutsches Hauptquartier für Deutsch-Ostafrika und als Tor für Entdecker auf der Suche nach der Quelle des Nils. - In den Falzen teils mit kleinen Einrissen sowie vereinzelt mit minimalen Fehlstellen ohne Bildverlust.
